Prezados, transcrevemos abaixo o comunicado recebido do armador Allink, referente a situacao de congestionamento do Porto de Santos.
Dear Customers,
We would like to advise that the Port of Santos is completely congested, causing delays and obligating many shipping lines to cut & run in order to keep up with their schedules.
Some of the reasons for the mentioned congestion are as follows:
- Dredging and Enlargment works for the Port of Santos.
- Terminal congestion and operational problems due to the increase of peak season commodities.
According to the shipping lines, the dredging and enlargment works are estimated to cease at the end of August. However there will be a ripple effect for a while longer.
Unfortunatly this situation is not under our control, however we are trying to manage it in the best way possible in order to minimize the impact in our shipments (North and South bound).
Our staff is closely following the situation with the shipping lines, keeping all customers informed of any scheduled delays that may occur.
